29/6/03 :
Installation ceremony at Shangrila Resort : Installation officer- Lion Dr. Haripal Tanwani
JULY
1. 8/7/03 :
Welcome Home function to New District Governor at Jolly Gymkhana attended by 14 members.
2. 9/7/03 :
Lion Lady Auxillary Meeting at Chairman Dr.Mrs.Dalvi’s house attended by 14 members.
3. 13/7/03 :
SSC/HSC Merit Shield Function at N.E.S School Hall.
Chief Guest – Justice Dharmadhikari & BNMC Commissioner Mr. Naik.
Merited students, best teachers and best
students honoured.
Regular Meeting - 27 members and 1000 invitees attended the function. Lion Quest – Chairman Mr. Anil Nagarath gave a special address at the function.
4. 16/7/03 :
Tree Plantation Programme held by BNMC was attended by Lion members.
5. 24/7/03 :
Board Meeting was held at Shisuvihar school.Rs. 2500 sanctioned for a needy cancer patient, Mrs. Nagpure undergoing operation.
6. 28/7/03 :
Sight First Camp was held at Chacha Nehru School.500 patients were given eye check-up & distributed spectacles.
AUGUST
1. 6/8/03 :
Visit to Remand Home & celebration of Raksha Bandhan. Distibution of sweets to the needy children was done. Articles worth Rs.4000 were purchased from them by the Lady auxillary members.
2. 8/8/03 :
Osteoporosis detection Camp was held 2 hospitals.
500 patients-Bone Mineral Density scan was done & medicines distributed free of charge.
3. 15/8/03 :
Flag Salutation at Remand home, Shishuvihar school & Prant office. 12 members attended.Independence Day Celebration was done.
4. 15/8/03 :
Family Picnic was held at‘Rainy Resort.'27 members attended
5. 15/8/03 :
Raksha Bandhan Celebration at‘Peace park’with Prajapati Brahmakumari was done at 7 pm.
6. 17/8/03 :
Office bearers attended a camp for physically handicapped arranged by Rotary Foundation.
7. 21/8/03 :
Board Meeting was held at Shishuvihar school.14 members attended.
8. 24/8/03 :
Regular Meeting (District Cabinet Installation at Hotel Renaissance).18 members attended.
9. 30/8/03 :
Lecture highlighting work of Lions Club given by the President to 500 NSS students at ‘K.Y. Momin Womans College.’
10. 31/8/03 :
Sight First Camp at Chacha Nehru School. 450 patients Eye check-up and distribution of spectacles was done.
